Airport Attendant | Remote WA Sites | 2:1 FIFO

Sodexo is looking for an experienced Airport Attendant to join the airport team at its remote mine site villages in Western Australia. This is a full-time FIFO role on a 2:1 roster (two weeks on site, one week at home), working 11-hour days, often in extreme conditions. You will help keep the site aerodrome running smoothly and safely for the workforce flying in and out.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the smooth day-to-day running of the site airport
- Handle baggage and support ramp operations, aircraft marshalling and passenger services
- Assist with check-in and passenger movements
- Apply aviation, workplace health and safety, and risk management principles on the ground
- Use initiative and problem-solving when challenges come up, and support the wider team as needed
About You
- Experience in baggage handling and/or airport ground operations
- Aeronautical Aviation Radio Operators Certificate or Flight Radiotelephone Operators Licence
- Aircraft ground handling qualifications and experience covering F100, B737 and A320 aircraft
- Ramp operations, marshalling, passenger services or check-in experience is desirable, and previous FIFO aviation experience is highly regarded
- Strong communication, problem-solving and customer service skills, and comfortable working remotely
- Australian citizenship or unrestricted working rights
- Able to pass a pre-employment medical, drug and alcohol screening, and police clearance
- A good level of fitness for long days on the ramp
