Adelaide FIFO Jobs
South Australia's FIFO work is concentrated in the far north of the state. Olympic Dam near Roxby Downs is the largest employer, with copper, uranium and gold mined underground and processed on site. Carrapateena and Prominent Hill are the other big copper operations. All of them fly crews from Adelaide.

Olympic Dam runs a 7/7 roster for a lot of its workforce, and BHP offers most of those roles as residential in Roxby Downs, DIDO from the Port Augusta and Whyalla area, or FIFO from Adelaide. The job title on this board carries the roster and whether it is FIFO or DIDO. Carrapateena commonly runs 8/6 with flights from Adelaide.
The work
Underground mining is the main thing here, so there is steady demand for underground operators, jumbo and bogger operators, fitters and electricians, and entry level underground miners who are trained on the job. Blasting contractors also fly charge-up crews from Adelaide on 8/6.
