2/1 FIFO Jobs
A 2/1 roster is two weeks on site and one week off. It is the standard roster for a lot of contract mining, civil and camp services work in Western Australia, and it pays well because you are on site two thirds of the year.
Who runs 2/1
On this board the 2/1 listings come from contract miners such as MACA at their Goldfields and Pilbara sites, from camp services companies such as Sodexo and Compass Group at remote WA villages, and from construction contractors on mine site power and infrastructure projects. Roles range from dump truck operators and boilermakers to storepersons, bus drivers and airport attendants.
Is it for you
Two weeks on is enough time to settle into a swing and the pay reflects the hours, but a single week off goes quickly once travel days are taken out. It suits people who want to bank money and people who are new to FIFO and want to build site time fast. Many employers on 2/1 will move good workers onto a lighter roster later.
