About the Role
Boart Longyear is hiring a Fleet Mechanic, also called a Drill Fitter, to maintain its water well drill rigs, support equipment and vehicles in Western Australia.
You work two weeks on and one week off on a FIFO roster, with flights from Perth. Shifts are 12 hours, day shift only. Drill rig experience is preferred but not essential if you have strong truck and hydraulic repair experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain and repair drill rigs and associated equipment
- Service and repair heavy and light vehicles
- Complete preventative maintenance and keep records
- Keep spare parts stocked
- Raise work orders and record time and maintenance
About You
- Heavy diesel mechanic or plant mechanic qualification
- Solid drill and/or truck maintenance experience
- Understanding of electronic control systems
- Fire suppression qualification is an advantage
- Current driver's licence and a National Police Clearance under six months old
- WA resident (essential)
