Admin FIFO Jobs

-

Every mine site and village has an office, and the people in it fly in and out on the same rosters as the crews. Site administrators handle timesheets, inductions, travel bookings and site access. Village administrators run the check-in desk and room allocations. Project administrators support engineers and supervisors with reporting and documents.

What employers ask for

Solid administration experience and confidence with spreadsheets and the site's systems, often SAP or a similar platform. Experience in mining, construction or a camp environment is preferred but not always required. Because the role handles inductions and access, employers want attention to detail and the ability to deal with a constant stream of people. A police clearance and a medical are standard.

Rosters

Site admin is usually on the same roster as the operation, 2:1 or 8/6 in WA and 7/7 or 14/7 in Queensland. Some roles are residential in a mining town with a DIDO option. Village reception roles run shift work including weekends.
