About the Role
AngloGold Ashanti Australia is hiring an Accounts Assistant for the Business Support and Finance team at Tropicana Gold Mine in Western Australia. The role is on an 8/6 roster with direct flights to site from Perth or Kalgoorlie, and flexible working arrangements will be considered. Reporting to the Mine Accountant, you will provide accounts support across the whole site, from purchase requisitions to month end.
Key Responsibilities
- Support site personnel with purchase requisitions and service entries
- Track invoices and work with managers on payment approvals and accounts payable queries
- Prepare accruals and help with month end tasks and journal entries
- Complete general ledger reconciliations and monthly cost reports
- Maintain SOX control files and keep processes compliant
- Coordinate and support gold shipments and look after the site fuel dispensing systems
About You
- A good grasp of basic accounting practice
- SAP requisitioning, service entry and purchase order experience is preferred
- Strong Excel and Word skills and close attention to detail
- Some audit preparation experience
- Mine site experience is helpful but not essential
- Unrestricted Australian work rights and a full manual C class licence
