14/14 FIFO Jobs

A 14/14 roster means fourteen days on site followed by fourteen days at home. People call it an even time roster because you spend half the year at work and half at home, and it is the roster most people mean when they say FIFO suits family life. This page lists the jobs where the employer has stated 14/14, sometimes written 2:2 or 14:14.

Who runs it

Even time rosters are common on construction and shutdown crews, on some maintenance teams, and at remote sites where the travel is long enough that a one week break does not make sense. It is less common in production mining, where 2:1 and 8/6 dominate, so a 14/14 production role is worth a close look when it appears.

The trade-off

You work longer days in a block, usually twelve hours, and the swing itself is tiring. In return the fortnight at home is completely yours. Pay on a 14/14 is often a little lower per year than a 2:1 doing the same job, because you are on site fewer days. The listing shows the employer's stated pay when they give it.
