About the Role
Thiess is hiring permanent full-time Diesel Fitters for the Eva Copper Mine Project, about 75 km north west of Cloncurry in north west Queensland. The roster is 2:2, two weeks on and two weeks off, with FIFO from Townsville or Brisbane and DIDO also available. The job sits within the Eva Copper Alliance between Thiess and Harmony, and you are employed by Thiess. Applications close 30 November 2026.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain, repair and service mobile plant
- Diagnose faults, troubleshoot and carry out preventative maintenance
- Follow work instructions and complete all paperwork accurately
- Keep work areas clean and tidy
- Follow the site safety management system at all times
About You
- Diesel fitting trade certificate
- Post trade experience on a mine site
- Experience with breakdowns, component changeouts and servicing on heavy earthmoving equipment
- Current driver licence
- Two references, plus a police check and a medical
