About the Role
Redpath Mining is hiring Jumbo Operators for the Dugald River underground mine near Cloncurry in north west Queensland. This is a long term full-time role worked FIFO on a 2:2 roster, two weeks on and two weeks off. You will drill development headings and support the drill and blast cycle underground. Pay is at competitive hourly rates plus super. No closing date is listed.
Key Responsibilities
- Drill bolting and boring patterns in development headings
- Identify and deal with misfires safely
- Tram the jumbo and read mine plans and drill patterns
- Assess ground conditions and install ground support
- Guide offsiders through the drill and blast process
- Lock out the jumbo for maintenance and report drilling details and faults to shift supervisors
About You
- Experience operating underground jumbos in development headings
- Able to read mine plans and drill patterns
- Understands ground conditions and geological structures
- Good problem solving skills
- Manual driver licence
