About the Role
Gold Fields is hiring a permanent Senior Mine Controller at its Granny Smith gold mine near Laverton, Western Australia. The role is FIFO from Perth on a rotating roster of 8/6 on days and 7/7 on nights. From the control room you will run underground activity, equipment and people in real time, and lead the team of Mine Controllers. Applications close 16 November 2026.
Key Responsibilities
- Direct underground activity, equipment and people in real time using fleet systems such as Pitram and ABB Ability
- Lead, train and coach the Mine Controller team
- Track personnel underground and act as a key contact during emergencies
- Find bottlenecks and improve control room processes
About You
- Significant underground experience in mine control or dispatch
- Advanced skills with fleet management systems
- Proven leadership and coaching ability
- Strong knowledge of underground mining operations
- Calm and effective under pressure
- Manual C class driver licence
