About the Role

Barto Gold Mining is hiring experienced Bogger Operators for the underground mining team at its Marvel Loch operation, part of the Southern Cross Gold Operations in Western Australia. These are permanent, full-time positions on an even-time roster of two weeks on and two weeks off. This is not a fly-in fly-out role: you can bus in and bus out from Perth, drive in and drive out, or live locally in Southern Cross. The company says the roles are open because the operation is expanding.

Key Responsibilities

  • Bog ore and waste underground as part of the Marvel Loch mining team
  • Operate loaders by remote control where the task calls for it
  • Help out with other underground mining work when needed
  • Work to the site's health, safety and environmental standards
  • Look after your gear and report hazards and faults

About You

  • At least two years of experience as an underground Bogger Operator
  • Experience on CAT R1700 and/or R2900 loaders
  • Remote bogging experience
  • A sound working knowledge of the Work Health and Safety Act and safe work practices
  • Current unrestricted C class driver's licence
  • Able to pass a pre-employment medical, drug and alcohol screening and a National Police Clearance, with the right to live and work in Australia
