Tyre Technician | McArthur River Mine | 2/2 FIFO

Otraco International is looking for OTR tyre fitters and technicians for a newly awarded project at McArthur River Mine. The role runs on a 2/2 roster of 12 hour shifts and flies in from Darwin. People living in Darwin are highly regarded, and candidates based elsewhere may need to cover their own airfare to Darwin. Key Responsibilities
- Carry out planned and reactive tyre changes on mobile mining equipment, including CAT 793D, 777, 789 and 995 units and a CAT 6060
- Inspect tyres and assess whether wheel components can stay in service
- Enter inspection and service data into Otraco's tyre management system
- Maintain tyre pressures and quality to site specifications
- Give the client a dependable day to day service on site
About You
- Preferably at least 2 years of earthmover tyre fitting experience on mine sites
- Certificate II in Automotive Mechanical Tyre Fitting Heavy (AUR21916 or AUR21920)
- Valid C class driver's licence, with HR or LR an advantage
- Current WorkSafe forklift licence
- Able to work autonomously and stay composed under pressure
- Strong attention to detail and to site safety procedures
