About the Role
Qube Bulk is looking for a Boilermaker to join its Northern Goldfields team at the Thunderbox mine site near Leinster. This is a full-time FIFO position on a 2 weeks on, 1 week off roster covering day and night shifts. You will keep the site's prime movers, earthmoving equipment and other mechanical plant in good repair to site standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Fabricate, weld and repair heavy vehicles and earthmoving equipment
- Weld buckets and replace and repair ground engaging tools
- Carry out trailer and body building fabrication
- Read drawings and work to OEM specifications for repairs
- Keep accurate records of completed work
- Work safely alone and as part of the maintenance crew
About You
- Trade certificate in engineering fabrication and welding (Certificate III or similar)
- At least one year of qualified trade experience
- Experience with heavy vehicles and machinery such as Kenworth, Volvo and Mack prime movers and side, bowl and belly tippers
- Current Australian driver's licence and High Risk Work Licence
- Working at Heights, Confined Space and Gas Test Atmospheres tickets, or the ability to get them
- National Police Clearance from the last 12 months
- Able to pass a pre-employment medical and drug and alcohol test
