Perth FIFO Jobs
Perth is the departure point for almost every FIFO job in Western Australia. The jobs on this page are advertised as flying from Perth, so you can live anywhere in the metro area and get to the airport for the early charter flights that most sites use.
Where the flights go
From Perth the charters run north to the Pilbara iron ore mines around Newman, Tom Price and Port Hedland, east to the Goldfields gold and nickel operations, and to smaller sites in the Mid West and the Kimberley. Some employers also offer a point of hire in Busselton or Geraldton, and that is noted in the listing when it applies.
What to expect
The employer usually covers the flights, the camp room and the meals while you are on site. A 2:1 roster is the most common, with 8/6 and 2:2 also in use. Your time at home is your own, which is why plenty of people on these rosters live outside Perth and drive in for the flight.
