About the Role
Ramelius Resources is looking for a Geology Technician Leading Hand at one of its Western Australian gold mines. The role is permanent and full time on an 8/6 roster, flying in and out from Perth. Reporting to the Core Yard Supervisor, you will lead the geology technicians in the core yard and underground and make sure the geologists get safe, accurate and timely samples and data.
Key Responsibilities
- Run the core yard and the sampling program when the Supervisor is off site
- Carry out underground sampling, core mark-ups and core and chip photography
- Prepare and dispatch samples to the laboratory and keep accurate records
- Support surface drilling programs and help geologists collect field data
- Guide and support a small team of technicians
About You
- Proven experience working on a mine site
- Confidence using GPS and reading maps
- Clear communication and the ability to lead a small team
- A current WA C class (manual) driver's licence
- Able to obtain a National Police Clearance for site access
