Edmonton FIFO Jobs

Edmonton is the main point of hire for rotational work in northern Alberta. The oil sands around Fort McMurray, the mines and camps further north, and the plants along the Athabasca all fly crews from Edmonton on charters, with rotations written as 14/14, 20/10 or similar.

The work

Heavy equipment operators, heavy duty mechanics, electricians, pipefitters, scaffolders, camp attendants and cooks are the mainstays. Alberta employers typically ask for a valid driver's licence, a clean drug and alcohol test, and the safety tickets common in the province such as H2S Alive and a first aid certificate.
