Core Functions of the Role
- Mineral resource estimation, exploration & resource definition drilling
- Mine geology, reconciliation, and drilling optimisation
- Acting as CP/QP in at least one commodity style (JORC/NI 43-101 preferred)
- Peer review, training, and mentoring of other Geologists within the Australian team
- Business development and client relationship building
- Assisting with mining studies where required
- Proposal generation and project management
About you
- You are a skilled professional who takes pride in your ability to work autonomously and collaboratively on complex projects within a team environment
- You have experience working across a range of commodities, mineralisation styles, and geological settings, and can act as a CP/QP in at least one commodity/mineralisation style
- Have been working in resource estimation for at least 10 years (12 – 15 preferred)
- You are comfortable training and mentoring junior staff members in all aspects of the resource estimation process
- You have excellent written and verbal communication skills
- You have excellent interpersonal skills and have a demonstrated ability to grow strong relationships within a team, with clients, and within our industry
- You display great time management and problem-solving skills and are competent in the use of geological software such as Datamine, Supervisor, Surpac or Leapfrog (Geo or Edge)
