We are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced HSE Advisor to join our clients' team.

The successful candidate MUST HAVE Tailings Dam experience in Australia. 

Location: Karara, Western Australia
Roster: 2 weeks on, 1 week off
Commencement Date: ASAP
Pay rate: $90ph flat rate - weekly pay

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide expert advice and support on Health, Safety, Environment, and Quality (HSEQ) matters.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant legislation, regulations, and company policies.
  • Conduct risk assessments and implement controls to mitigate hazards.
  • Promote a positive safety culture and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Monitor and report on HSEQ performance, identifying areas for improvement.
  • Conduct audits and inspections to assess compliance and identify opportunities for enhancement.
  • Provide training and guidance to employees and contractors on HSEQ procedures and practices.
  • Investigate incidents and near misses, identifying root causes and implementing corrective actions.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to develop and implement HSEQ strategies and initiatives.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in a similar role, within the mining or resources sector
  • Underground services experience or tailings dam experience desirable.
  • Relevant qualification in Health, Safety, and Environment (Cert III in Work Health and Safety or equivalent).
  • Strong knowledge of relevant legislation, regulations, and industry standards.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team.
  • Commitment to safety, quality, and environmental stewardship.
  • Ability to pass a pre-employment medical check and a laboratory drug and alcohol screen.
