Orica is recruiting an experienced Underground Charge-up Operator to join its blast crews at underground operations in South Australia. The role is FIFO from Adelaide on an 8/6 roster, with site accommodation and meals provided while rostered on. You will charge, tie and fire blasts to plan, help lead and mentor the crew, and work closely with the mine's teams to deliver safe, reliable results.
Key Responsibilities
- Charging activities including magazine management, loading, tying in and firing blasts
- Executing drill and blast plans safely and accurately
- Providing crew leadership, mentoring and support for training new team members
- Working with site teams to deliver for the customer
About You
- At least 12 months' experience on an underground charge-up crew
- Current or recent Australian Shotfirer's Licence preferred
- Strong commitment to safety and a positive, team-first approach
- Able to work in remote underground mining environments on a FIFO roster
