Job Statement

We are currently seeking a Training Coordinator for a permanent opportunity to join the team at our Leonora Operations, just an hours’ flight from Perth, WA.

Reporting to the Superintendent - Health & Safety, you will develop, implement, and oversee safety and operational training to promote a culture of safety and compliance for the operations.

This is opportunity is offered on a balanced 8/6, 4/3 roster. This role may be Fly-in Fly-out from Perth, Drive-in Drive-out from Kalgoorlie or residential in Leonora.

The opportunity

  • Maintain the Learning Management System (LMS).
  • Support development and maintain training systems for all workers and visitors to ensure statutory compliance and the safe, efficient achievement of company objectives.
  • Identify opportunities for continuous improvement and monitoring that training systems reflect current work practices, procedures and processes.
  • Continually monitor and manage training requirements of all workers to ensure skills requirements are met.
  • Collaborate with Department Managers and subject matter experts to maintain training needs analysis for all job roles and maintain an operations training matrix to ensure employees receive the appropriate training to fulfill their job responsibilities and contribute to the overall success of the company.
  • Coordinate the planning, approval, and scheduling of training to ensure employees acquire the required knowledge and skills to be deemed competent to perform tasks specific to their role.
  • Partner with key stakeholders and subject matter experts to design and deliver safety and operational training programs and packages specific to the needs of different departments and job roles.
  • Conduct safety and operational training assessments including verification of competency, written and observation and provide feedback to operators on competency performance.
  • Maintain accurate records of training attendance, completion, and certification to ensure compliance with regulatory and company requirements.
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of training programs and packages through task observations, assessments, surveys, and feedback mechanisms, and make necessary adjustments for continuous improvement.
  • Provide leadership and guidance to Training Advisors, Process Trainers and subject matter experts.

We would love to hear from you if you have​:

  • Certificate IV Training and Assessment.
  • Significant production or processing experience with sound demonstrated safety training experience.
  • Demonstrated experience in operating multiple types of equipment and associated supporting processes.
  • Demonstrated experience in competency-based training and assessment methods.
  • Knowledge of statutory training/assessment requirements
