The Opportunity:

Are you an expert heavy haulage operator with a passion for mentoring the next generation? Working in partnership with our client, a leading national mining services contractor, Techforce Personnel are seeking an experienced Training Advisor to join their dynamic team. This is a pivotal role for a hands-on professional who can deliver high-quality training and assessment for heavy equipment operators across multiple mine sites.
  
This is a genuine temp-to-perm opportunity, offering a FIFO 2:1 roster from Perth and the chance to build a long-term career with a major player in the resources sector.
  
Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct hands-on, practical training and assessments for Road Train (triple & quad), Loader, and other heavy equipment operators.
  • Develop and deliver comprehensive training materials, ensuring all activities align with both operational needs and safety standards.
  • Mentor new and existing operators, providing constructive feedback and coaching to enhance their skills and competency.
  • Maintain meticulous training records and assessment documentation in compliance with RTO standards (Standards for RTOs 2015).
  • Champion a culture of safety and operational excellence, promoting best practices in heavy vehicle operation and material handling.
  • Travel to various mine sites to deliver on-site training, support operational needs, and verify operator competencies.

  
About You:

  • Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40116 or equivalent) is essential.
  • A minimum of 5 years' experience delivering workplace training and assessment within the Australian mining industry.
  • Extensive, verifiable experience operating Road Trains (triple & quad configurations) and Side Tippers in a mining environment.
  • High proficiency and demonstrated knowledge of large Loaders (e.g., CAT 990K or similar).
  • Experience with Dozers, Graders, and Excavators is highly desirable.
  • A current and valid Driver's Licence.
  • Proficient computer literacy and exceptional attention to detail for record keeping.
  • A strong understanding of compliance and safety requirements within a high-risk mining environment.
  • Ability to pass a comprehensive pre-employment medical and drug & alcohol screen.
  • Hold a valid National Police Clearance (or be willing to obtain one).
