We are partnering with a leading gold producer to recruit an Open Pit Mine Manager. Reporting to the Mining Manager, this role can be offered on a residential in Kalgoorlie or FIFO from Perth, on an 8/6 roster.
About the role:
- Providing clear strategic and operational leadership within the open pit mining team
- Ensuring delivery of objectives within budget and aligned with business KPIs
- Managing asset utilisation and maintenance to maximise value
- Monitoring technical and commercial performance, addressing gaps proactively
- Overseeing operational planning and benchmarking, making real-time adjustments as needed
- Communicating and aligning operational support needs with broader business functions
- Navigating competing priorities and resource constraints to meet production goals
- Driving innovation and continuous improvement initiatives across the unit
- Preparing and managing the unit’s operational budget
- Supporting Life of Mine (LoM) planning and long-term operational strategy.
About you:
- Bachelor's degree in mining engineering or similar
- Unrestricted WA Quarry Manager Certificate required
- Extensive experience in senior operational and strategic mining roles
- Solid understanding of both open pit and underground mining operations
- WA 1st class Mine Manager’s Certificate would be advantageous
- Proven leadership in gold or hard rock mining environments.
