Mechanical Fitter - Hydro SX | Olympic Dam | 7/7 FIFO/DIDO

About the Role
BHP is hiring a Mechanical Fitter for the Hydromet and Solvent Extraction (Hydro SX) area at Olympic Dam in South Australia, about 560 km north of Adelaide. The role works a 7/7 day and night rotation, and you can choose to live residentially in Roxby Downs, FIFO from Adelaide, DIDO from regional South Australia, or BIBO from Port Augusta or Roxby Downs. Key Responsibilities
- Planned, preventative and breakdown maintenance across the Hydromet and Solvent Extraction plant
- Working with operations and reliability teams to improve equipment availability
- Maintaining a high standard of safety and accountability in the work area
- Reporting job progress and feedback to the Maintenance Supervisor

About You
- Australian-recognised mechanical trade qualification (Fitter)
- Technical fault-finding experience in a plant or processing environment
- Computer skills, with SAP exposure preferred
- Exposure to hazardous area environments and shift work preferred
- Working knowledge of WHS legislation
