The Role:
Our HSEQ Advisors are in our remote WA Village to support and advise our hospitality operations teams in keeping our people and guests safe by managing risks, maintaining compliance, and finding ways to ensure adoption of safe working behaviours. You will be assigned to one of our Villages on an 8:6 roster, FIFO from Perth
The Ideal Candidate:
As an HSEQ Advisor, you will be skilled at managing HSEQ standards. Playing a critical role in promoting a culture of safety and compliance, you will ensure that all stakeholders—whether managers, supervisors, or frontline workers—are aligned with industry best practices and legal requirements.
You will bring Safety to life by:
- Conducting site safety audits and risk assessments
- Investigating incidents and implementing improvement actions
- Reviewing and conducting risk analysis for tasks and equipment
- Maintaining site safety and management systems
- Guiding teams to ensure compliance with legislation, company policies, and client WHS requirements
- Reporting for weekly/monthly HSEQ requirements
- Acting as the lead for all ICAM investigations
- Collaborating with the Executive Chef and Food Safety Advisors to monitor Food Safety compliance and standards on site
- Participating in pre-start/toolbox meetings and mentoring team members to make great decisions
The Experience and Qualifications:
- Cert IV in WHS (minimum), Cert IV Workplace Trainer and Assessor / Diploma in WHS (desirable)
- 1+ year HSEQ experience (preferably within: Resources / Hospitality / Defence / Emergency Services / Facilities Management)
- Valid manual driver’s license (WA issued)
- Pass pre-employment medical testing
- Proven ability to meet above tasks, such as:
- Effectively conduct and supervise Site Safety Audits and inspections
- Review and conduct Risk Assessments for tasks/equipment
- Complete Incident Investigation and Improvement Actions
- Professionally communicate with a diverse range of teams
- Accurately compile and report statistical information
- Maintain Site Safety and Management systems

Responsibilities
- Conduct site safety audits and risk assessments to identify potential hazards.
- Investigate incidents and implement improvement actions to prevent recurrence.
- Review and analyze risks associated with tasks and equipment, ensuring compliance.
- Maintain and update site safety management systems for effective oversight.
- Guide teams to adhere to legislation, company policies, and client WHS requirements.
- Prepare and submit weekly/monthly HSEQ reports, providing accurate data.
- Lead ICAM investigations, ensuring a thorough and timely response.
- Collaborate with the Executive Chef and Food Safety Advisors to monitor food safety standards.
- Participate in pre-start meetings and mentor team members on safety practices.
- Foster a positive safety culture, encouraging open communication and continuous improvement.
Qualifications
- Cert IV in WHS (minimum) or equivalent, with Cert IV Workplace Trainer and Assessor or Diploma in WHS preferred.
- 1+ year of HSEQ experience, preferably in resources, hospitality, defence, emergency services, or facilities management.
- Valid manual driver's license issued in WA.
- Ability to pass pre-employment medical testing and drug screening.
- Proven track record in conducting site safety audits and inspections.
- Experience in reviewing and conducting risk assessments for tasks and equipment.
- Skill in completing incident investigations and implementing improvement actions.

- Proficiency in compiling and reporting statistical information accurately.
- Strong organizational skills to maintain site safety and management systems.
