We are rapidly progressing the Mardie Salt Operation and Potash Project (Mardie Operation), a tier 1 solar evaporation project that will supply high-purity industrial salt and sulphate of potash (SOP) for more than 60 years.

Mardie will be the largest salt operation in Australia and the third largest globally. With first salt on ship on track to be achieved late next year, BCI Minerals is just at the beginning of its journey to become a key player in a multitude of globally significant sustainable opportunities.

The Role

The Field Service Technician plays a key role in maintaining the reliability, performance and safety of fixed and mobile plant equipment across BCI's salt mining operations. Working closely with the Maintenance and Process teams, this role delivers preventative maintenance, diagnostics, servicing and breakdown repairs to support continuous production. Operating in a remote and highly corrosive saline environment, the Field Service Technician focuses on minimising downtime, maintaining plant integrity and contributing to safe, efficient and cost-effective operations.

About You:

The successful candidate will hold:

  • Minimum of 3 years' experience in a similar role, preferably within the mining industry on Heavy Mobile Equipment and Fixed Plant
  • Construction Induction Card White Card
  • Competent in Confined Space entry, Gas Test Atmospheres, and Working at Heights
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook and SharePoint
  • Current unrestricted WA HR driver's licence
  • Previous salt industry experience advantageous
  • Experience in asset management and preventative maintenance scheduling advantageous
  • First Aid and CPR qualifications advantageous
  • Experience with Computerised Maintenance Management Systems such as Pronto, SAP or MEX advantageous
  • Ability to operate and maintain 4WD vehicles advantageous
  • Forklift, HRWL or Telehandler licence advantageous

The successful candidate will be required to provide a national police clearance that is not older than 3 months and if site based must hold a WA White Card.

You must have current unrestricted working rights for Australia to be eligible for consideration.
