Auto Electricians

The opportunity: 

Are you an experienced and motivated Auto Electrician with a passion for adventure? Thiess is seeking experienced and motivated Auto Electricians to join our high-performing team at the Eva Copper Mine Project, in the Cloncurry region of Queensland, Australia.  

As a key member of the Eva Copper Alliance team, you’ll be responsible for supporting safe, efficient production across our fleet while working with a high-performing maintenance team.

Roster: 2:2 | Location: Eva Copper | Employment Type: Fulltime

As the Auto Electrician, you will: 

• Perform the servicing, repair and maintenance of mobile mining equipment in accordance with Thiess servicing and maintenance procedures
• Complete general maintenance, breakdowns, services, and component change outs to a high regard
• Conduct required inspections to maximise equipment utilisation
• Provide high-quality installations including mountings, wiring and testing of equipment

About you: 

To be successful in this role, you are required to have:

• Current Drivers Licence
• Certificate III in Automotive Electrical Technology or equivalent
• Refrigerated handling license advantageous
• Post-trade experience working in the mining environment
• Experience in General Maintenance, Breakdowns, Component Change Outs and Servicing of Heavy Earth Moving Equipment
• Have a good work ethic and commitment to continuous improvement, be able to work as an individual within the maintenance team
