About Our Team: 


Our Australian Surface team is a tight-knit group of 4 professionals, working closely together to tackle exciting challenges. We partner closely with our Geology, Underground, Corporate Advisory, and Operations teams, as well as our global network of mining professionals, to deliver premium services to our clients. 


About the Role: 

  

Every day brings new challenges as you manage projects across various commodities, geographies, and clients—from emerging miners to major industry players. As a Principal Consultant, you'll deliver top-tier consulting services, collaborate with international experts, and lead teams to ensure projects are executed with excellence, within budget, and on schedule. 


Responsibilities Include: 

  • Provide expert technical advice and oversight
  • Conduct mining studies (General Mining Support, Secondments, Due diligence, Scoping, Pre-feasibility & Feasibility)
  • Author and peer-review technical reports
  • Mentor staff and oversee project contractors
  • Drive business improvements and support business development activities
  • Prepare proposals and contracts
  • Lead and manage multi-disciplinary project teams, working with professionals to deliver high-quality projects on time and within budget 

  

About You: 

  • A minimum of 15+ years of experience in the mining industry
  • Proficiency in Mine Planning software such as Geovia, Datamine, and/or Deswik
  • A Mining Engineering bachelor's degree
  • Fellow/Chartered Professional status and authorized to sign off in accordance with JORC/43-101/SAMREC
  • Extensive experience in managing technical projects and stakeholders to ensure successful project delivery
  • Proven track record in client relationship building and networking
  • Ability to peer review and manage work at an expert level
  • Strong ability to work independently or as part of a team
  • Strong financial management skills and excellent written and verbal communication abilities
  • Consulting experience is highly regarded!
