7/7 FIFO Jobs, Seven On Seven Off Rosters

A 7/7 roster is seven days on site followed by seven days at home, so you are away exactly half the year and never more than a week at a time. It is the roster people with young families ask for first, and it is common on the South Australian and Queensland sites where the workforce can drive in as well as fly.

Where 7/7 turns up

On this board the 7/7 listings cluster around Olympic Dam and Prominent Hill in South Australia, the Newman workshops in the Pilbara, and the Civeo villages in the Bowen Basin, where the same roster is offered as either FIFO or DIDO. Several BHP roles are advertised as a choice of 8/6 or 7/7, and those appear on both pages.

What to weigh up

Seven days is long enough for a full maintenance cycle but short enough that a swing feels manageable. The trade-off is more flights and more travel days per year than a two-week roster. Days are usually 12 hours, and many 7/7 sites alternate day and night shifts between swings.

Compare it with 8/6 FIFO jobs and 14/14 FIFO jobs, or see every drive-in option on the DIDO page.
