About the Role
Barminco is hiring Underground Electricians to support its underground mining operations at sites across Western Australia. The role is FIFO from Perth on an 8/6 or 7/7 roster, and DIDO options exist at some locations. You will keep power, lighting and control systems running safely underground so production can keep moving. No closing date is listed.
Key Responsibilities
- Install, maintain and repair underground electrical systems, including power, lighting and control circuits
- Fault find electrical problems quickly to keep downtime to a minimum
- Carry out routine inspections, testing and preventative maintenance on underground equipment
- Work to electrical standards, site procedures and safety regulations
- Coordinate with supervisors and other trades on daily production and maintenance work
- Complete isolations, job paperwork and reports accurately
About You
- Trade qualified Electrician with underground mining experience
- Current electrical licence and WA electrical contractor's licence number
- High voltage switching certificate, ideally completed within the last two years
- Valid manual driver's licence
- Able to pass a pre-employment medical, drug and alcohol screening and a National Police Clearance
- Proof of Australian working rights
