Coppabella FIFO Jobs

Coppabella is a small Bowen Basin coal town between Moranbah and Nebo, and it is best known in FIFO circles for its village, one of the larger Civeo accommodation sites in Queensland. The Coppabella and Moorvale coal mines are on its doorstep and several others are within an hour.

The jobs

Civeo has listed carpenters and appliance technicians at Coppabella on a 7/7 roster, offered as either FIFO or DIDO, with the pay shown because Civeo publishes it. Villages of this size also employ housekeeping, kitchen and dining staff, facilities attendants, guest services and maintenance trades. The surrounding coal mines recruit operators, drill and blast, fixed plant trades and supervisors.

Getting there

Coppabella is about two hours from Mackay by road, which is why DIDO from Mackay and Rockhampton is standard, with FIFO via Moranbah airport for people flying from Brisbane. Village roles need a police check and medical; coal mine roles need a Standard 11 and coal board medical.
