New South Wales FIFO Jobs

-

New South Wales mining is mostly drive-in drive-out rather than fly-in. The Hunter Valley coal mines run on residential and DIDO crews, the Gunnedah Basin around Narrabri and Boggabri has villages that house 14:7 DIDO workers, and the copper and gold mines out west around Cobar, Orange and Broken Hill mix residential, DIDO and some FIFO.

What is listed here

Civeo has listed housekeeping supervisors and guest services assistants at its Narrabri and Boggabri villages on a 14:7 DIDO roster. Camp operators also recruit chefs and kitchen staff from Sydney for remote mining camps interstate on 14:7 FIFO rosters, and those roles appear on this page because the flights leave from Sydney.

Getting in

NSW coal mines require the Standard 11 equivalent generic induction and a coal board medical (Order 43). Camp roles do not need mining tickets. If you live in Sydney or Newcastle and want to fly out, most of the FIFO work will actually be in Western Australia or Queensland, so look at the Western Australia and Queensland pages as well as DIDO jobs.
