About the Role
Genesis Minerals is hiring a permanent full-time Underground Production Mining Engineer at the Gwalia underground gold mine in Leonora, Western Australia. The role is on an 8/6 roster, worked FIFO from Perth, DIDO from Kalgoorlie, or residential in Leonora. Gwalia is a deep underground mine with seismic challenges, which makes for strong technical experience. The posting is open until 29 November 2026.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare drill and blast designs for long hole open stopes and vertical development such as raise bore and box hole
- Support production drilling and blasting with QA and QC checks
- Review drill, blast and bogging data every day
- Coordinate the supply of explosives
- Contribute to stope notes, level plans and reconciliations
- Support the mining contractors on site
About You
- Tertiary qualification in mining engineering or a similar field
- Underground mining experience, ideally in gold
- A team player with plenty of enthusiasm
- A Dangerous Goods Security Card is preferred
