AngloGold Ashanti Australia is hiring a Mine Planning Engineer for the underground team at Sunrise Dam Gold Mine, near Laverton in Western Australia's Goldfields. The role reports to the Underground Mine Planning Superintendent and turns the mine strategy into designs and schedules that crews can execute safely.
It is a permanent role on an 8 days on, 6 days off FIFO roster, with the company running direct flights to its sites from Perth and Kalgoorlie.
Key Responsibilities
- Design underground development and stopes that deliver the budget physicals and the mine plan
- Prepare designs that support the short-term plan and the budget
- Help the Senior Planning Engineer with economic evaluations of production panels
- Work with Drill and Blast and Operations so every plan is practical to execute
- Work with Geology to optimise grade control drill platforms
- Flag risks to the plan early and lead by example on safety
About You
- Bachelor degree in Mining Engineering
- Experience in underground mine planning, drill and blast, and ventilation
- Deswik design and scheduling experience
- Strong communication skills and confidence with Microsoft Office
- Current C class WA driver's licence
- Able to obtain a National Police Clearance
- Permanent Australian work rights
