About the Role
AngloGold Ashanti is hiring an Electrical Technician for the Underground Maintenance team at the Tropicana Gold Mine in Western Australia. The role works an 8 days on, 6 days off FIFO roster, with direct flights to site from Perth and Kalgoorlie, and reports to the Underground Electrical Maintenance Supervisor. Key Responsibilities
- Repair, maintain and install motors, VSDs, transformers, substations, starter panels, ventilation fans, dewatering systems and lighting
- Install and maintain underground power reticulation
- Complete statutory electrical work safely and on time
- Carry out breakdown and planned work on underground drill rigs
- Join the rotating call-out roster and help with shutdowns and power isolations
About You
- An unrestricted WA electrical licence (essential)
- Electrical maintenance experience in mining or heavy industry (essential)
- Underground electrical experience is preferred
- A high voltage switching certificate, or support will be given to get one
- Instrumentation, PLC and automation experience is a plus
- A WA C class manual licence, senior first aid and permanent Australian work rights
