About the Role
Orica is recruiting Underground Charge-Up Operators for its underground blasting crews, working an 8/6 FIFO roster from Adelaide with site accommodation and meals provided while rostered on. You will be part of the charge crew delivering safe, accurate blasts for Orica's underground mining customers.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out charge-up activities including loading, tying in and firing blasts
- Manage explosives magazines and stock in line with procedure
- Follow drill and blast plans so each blast is executed safely and to design
- Provide leadership and guidance to other members of the blast crew
- Support the training and development of new crew members
- Work alongside site teams to deliver the standard of service the customer expects
About You
- Current or recent Australian Shotfirer's Licence is preferred
- At least 12 months on an underground charge-up crew
- Strong personal commitment to safety in an underground environment
- Comfortable working at remote sites on a rotating roster
- Positive, team focused approach
