About the Role
MACA is hiring Heavy Duty Fitters for its Duketon South operation in the Eastern Goldfields of Western Australia, around 130 kilometres north of Laverton. The role runs on a FIFO 2:1 roster made up of seven days, seven nights and seven days off, and both full time and casual positions are available. You will maintain a mixed surface mining fleet alongside an established maintenance crew.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain heavy mining equipment including Komatsu, Liebherr and Hitachi excavators
- Service Komatsu dump trucks, CAT dozers and loaders and Epiroc drills
- Carry out scheduled preventative maintenance to standard
- Respond to breakdowns and complete repairs safely
- Troubleshoot and diagnose faults across the fleet
About You
- Australian recognised trade certificate in heavy duty mechanical fitting
- Experience on a surface mining equipment fleet
- Background in both preventative and breakdown maintenance
- Able to work independently and communicate well with the crew
- Sound knowledge of safe work procedures and a commitment to following them
- Australian working rights
