OtracoAbout the Role
Otraco International needs an experienced OTR Leading Hand Tyre Technician for its Hope Downs 1 operations in Western Australia. You will be based at Hope Downs 1 on an 8/6 roster of 12 hour day shifts, with flight options from Perth and Busselton. The role leads a team of 2 tyre technicians and supports the running of the workshop, office, stock and personnel on site. The primary fleet is Komatsu 830E.
Key Responsibilities
- Prioritise and direct personnel on tyre fitting and workshop maintenance tasks
- Keep the crew safe and efficient through constructive feedback and safety and performance initiatives
- Supervise closely so that all safety systems are in place
- Lead by example on company and site policies, procedures, instructions and Golden Rules
- Promote a safety culture across site that targets zero harm to people and the environment
About You
- Preferably at least 2 years of earthmover tyre fitting experience on mine sites
- Certificate II in Automotive Mechanical Tyre Fitting Heavy (AUR21916 or AUR21920)
- Valid HR driving licence
- Current WorkSafe forklift licence
- Section 44 is an advantage
- Able to work autonomously, use initiative and handle pressure
