About the Role
MACA is looking for a permanent, full-time Trainer and Assessor for its open pit mining contract at the Beebyn-W11 iron ore mine in Western Australia's Mid West, about 20 km from the Iron Ridge operation near Cue. The role is FIFO from Perth on an 8/6 roster and sits inside the production team, training and assessing operators on the site's mining fleet.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver training and competency assessments for open pit production operators
- Train on and assess the site fleet, including the Komatsu PC1250 excavator, Komatsu HD785-7 dump trucks, CAT D9T dozer and CAT 16H grader
- Keep accurate training records and competency matrices up to date
- Support new starters and existing crews to work safely and to MACA's operating standards
- Work independently on site while reporting into the project's leadership team
About You
- Certificate IV in Training and Assessment
- At least five years of open pit production mining experience
- Hands-on competence on the equipment listed above
- Current WA driver's licence and a High Risk Work Licence
- Sound computer skills, including MS Excel, and strong written and spoken communication
