About the Role

BHP is hiring a Supervisor, Waste Management and Civil at Olympic Dam in South Australia, about 560km north of Adelaide. The job works a 7/7 dayshift roster with on-call duties, and can be done as FIFO from Adelaide, DIDO, or living locally in Roxby Downs. You would lead the safe and reliable delivery of waste management and civil maintenance services across the operation, working closely with contractors and site teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate daily waste management and civil maintenance work
  • Monitor contractor performance so work is prioritised and delivered to standard
  • Lead field leadership activities, support risk assessments and investigations, and close out actions on time
  • Manage purchase orders, accruals, budget monitoring and cost reporting
  • Track service KPIs and raise non-conformances
  • Work with logistics, transport, operations, maintenance, contracts, projects and shutdown teams
  • Coach and mentor team members and contracting partners
  • Handle customer enquiries and service issues

About You

  • Experience in waste management, civil maintenance, contractor management or supervision in mining, industrial, infrastructure or resource recovery settings
  • Demonstrated safety leadership
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Able to communicate confidently with contractors, customers and internal teams
  • Skilled with Microsoft Office and systems such as SAP or similar maintenance platforms
  • Valid manual driver's licence
  • Qualifications in waste management, civil maintenance, project management or engineering are highly regarded
