WesTracAbout the Role
WesTrac is hiring a full-time Storeperson for its Port Hedland workshop, where Caterpillar mining equipment is overhauled and components and hydraulics are rebuilt. The roster is 9 days on, 5 days off with 12-hour days including a meal break, FIFO to Port Hedland. Residential candidates with their own housing are welcome too. Posted 16 September 2026.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the toolstore, including tool inventory and sign-in and sign-out procedures
- Operate a forklift for loading, unloading and moving stock around the warehouse
- Monitor stock levels and carry out inventory control tasks
- Process orders for parts and vendor items and reconcile minor parts repairs
- Record everything in WesTrac's warehouse and business systems
- Inspect remanufactured components for quality and keep safety standards up across the store
About You
- High Risk Work Licence for forklift (LF) is essential
- Experience with a warehouse management system such as SAP or DBS
- Confident with computers, including Microsoft Office
- Previous warehouse or similar experience and strong communication skills
- Workshop experience and rigging and dogging tickets are desirable
