About the Role

Liontown Resources is hiring a Senior Mine Surveyor for the underground team at its Kathleen Valley lithium operation in Western Australia's northern Goldfields. It is a permanent position on an 8/6 FIFO roster flying from Perth. Reporting to the Surveying Superintendent, you will own the accuracy of the spatial data that keeps underground development and stoping safe and on plan.

Key Responsibilities

  • Establish and maintain survey control points and networks in the underground workings
  • Run check surveys, traverses and adjustments so the data stays accurate
  • Oversee surveys of declines, development drives and stopes, and set out for drilling, blasting and ore extraction
  • Build 3D models and maps that support mine planning and infrastructure layout
  • Calculate ore volumes, material movements and stope progression, and reconcile with the geology team
  • Manage and calibrate total stations, laser scanners and other survey equipment, and bring in new survey technology
  • Review the work of survey staff for correct principles, accurate calculations and compliance with legislation

About You

  • Bachelor's degree or diploma in Surveying, Geomatics or a related field
  • Grade 1 Authorised Mine Surveyors Certificate is highly desirable
  • Proven mining operations experience, ideally underground, with a track record leading survey activities
  • Proficient with surveying software and GIS tools; Deswik exposure is an advantage
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving and communication skills across cross-functional mining teams
  • Able to pass a pre-employment medical, National Police Clearance and drug and alcohol screen
