PLS (Pilbara Minerals) is hiring a permanent, full time Mechanical Leading Hand for fixed plant maintenance at its Pilgangoora lithium operation in the Pilbara. The role works an 8:6 and 7:7 roster, FIFO from Perth or DIDO for people living in the Pilbara. Reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor, you will allocate and track the daily work of the mechanical technicians, coordinate trade teams, and stay on the tools when the job needs it. Key Responsibilities
- Lead and coach the crew on PLS safety and environmental standards, and stop unsafe work
- Schedule and start work passed down from supervisors and superintendents
- Allocate daily tasks to technicians and monitor progress
- Give supervisors clear feedback on job details, methods and timeframes
- Record feedback on work orders to support continuous improvement
- Audit work areas, spot hazards and take corrective action
About You
- A current WA C class driver's licence
- A relevant Certificate III or IV trade qualification, plus post trade skills or experience above the level of the team you lead
- High risk forklift licence, confined space and working at heights tickets
- Three to five years of fixed plant maintenance in a mine processing plant
- Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills
- Comfortable working as part of a team in a remote location
