About the Role
Fortescue is looking for a Mechanical Fitter to join the crew keeping the wet plant running at its Solomon hub in the Pilbara, north of Tom Price. The roster is 7 days, 7 nights and 14 days off, flying in and out of Perth or Busselton. The work centres on fixed plant maintenance, with a strong focus on pumps.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain fixed plant assets so the plant runs safely and meets production needs
- Work on pumps and other wet plant equipment to keep the plant available
- Look for ways to improve equipment performance and process efficiency
- Follow site procedures and Fortescue's Zero Harm principles
- Support your crew and work together towards shared goals
About You
- An Australian recognised trade certificate
- Experience in a fixed plant processing environment, ideally a wet plant
- Hands-on experience with pumps
- Good communication and people skills
