Catalyst Metals is hiring an experienced Longhole Operator for the underground operation at the Plutonic Gold Mine in the Eastern Gascoyne region of Western Australia. This is a permanent full-time role on an 8/6 or 7/7 roster, flying in and out from Perth. Plutonic is lifting production toward 2.2 million tonnes a year, so accurate production drilling on a modern Sandvik fleet is central to the job. No closing date is listed.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate Sandvik longhole production drill rigs
- Drill production rings to the stope design
- Hold drilling accuracy to keep overbreak and dilution down
- Carry out pre-start inspections and basic equipment maintenance
- Work with the charge-up crew, geology and engineering so stopes are ready on time
About You
- Proven experience on longhole production drills
- A solid grasp of ring design and drilling tolerances
- Experience in remnant or complex stoping is a bonus
- A strong safety focus and the discipline to work to plan
- A current manual C class driver's licence
