HSE Advisor | Queensland Sites ex Brisbane | 14/7 FIFO

About the Role

Sodexo is looking for a safety professional to support its remote site operations in Queensland as an HSE Advisor. The role flies in and out of Brisbane on a 14 days on, 7 days off roster (listed by Sodexo as 2:1), working 11-hour days. You will report to the HSE Manager and support site teams across facilities maintenance, food services and trades.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead thorough incident investigations, including root cause analysis
• Support the local injury management process
• Run inductions and competency assessments
• Help teams build pre-task risk assessments and lead toolbox meetings
• Drive company and client HSE activities and programs on site
• Support staff to follow HACCP and food safety plans, and train them to the required standard

About You

• A qualification in health and safety (mandatory)
• Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (mandatory)
• Experience in a similar role, ideally in facilities maintenance with exposure to food safety and trades
• Good working knowledge of H&S legislation
• Strong written and verbal communication, time management and computer skills
• A current full manual driver's licence to drive site vehicles
• Able to pass a pre-employment medical, drug and alcohol test and police check
• Australian citizenship or full working rights
