Heavy Duty Fitter | Gruyere Gold Mine | 2/1 FIFO
MACAAbout the Role
MACA is recruiting Heavy Duty Fitters for its contract at the Gruyere Gold Mine, on the Yamarna greenstone belt about 200 km east of Laverton in Western Australia's Goldfields. The roster is a 2/1 FIFO swing (seven days, seven nights, seven off) and both full-time and casual arrangements are on offer. You will keep a large surface mining fleet running through planned servicing and breakdown response.
Key Responsibilities
- Service and repair haul trucks, excavators, drills, dozers and graders
- Carry out preventative maintenance to schedule and respond to breakdowns on shift
- Diagnose mechanical and hydraulic faults on complex systems and fix them right first time
- Keep the workshop and work areas organised, safe and efficient
About You
- Australian recognised trade certificate as a heavy duty or diesel fitter
- Hands-on background on a surface mining fleet
- Confident fault-finding across hydraulic, mechanical and electrical systems
- Strong commitment to health and safety procedures
- Able to work without close supervision and communicate well with the crew
