About the Role
DDH1 Drilling, part of the Perenti group, is hiring Field Service Drill Fitters for its east coast fleet, recruiting out of Brisbane. You will travel to remote mine sites and exploration projects to keep surface and underground diamond drill rigs running. The role is permanent full time with flexible FIFO rosters, and flights, accommodation and meals are provided.
Key Responsibilities
- Respond to breakdowns and diagnose faults on drilling equipment
- Carry out scheduled and preventative maintenance
- Repair hydraulic, mechanical, pneumatic and electrical systems
- Change out and repair major components
- Read hydraulic and electrical schematics and complete service reports
- Look after field service vehicles, tooling and critical spares
About You
- Australian recognised heavy diesel trade qualification
- Full Australian working rights
- Strong hydraulic and mechanical fault finding skills
- Experience on drill rigs, mobile plant or mining equipment
- Able to work independently in remote locations
- Dual trade, diamond drilling experience, CAT ET and an HR licence are highly regarded
