About the Role
Evolution Mining needs an Emergency Management Advisor at Ernest Henry Operations, its copper and gold mine near Cloncurry in north west Queensland. The role is on an 8/6 roster, FIFO from Brisbane, Townsville or Cairns, or residential in Cloncurry with live-local incentives. Reporting to the Senior Advisor for Risk, Health and Safety, you will own the site's emergency response capability and lead its Emergency Response Team.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and develop the Emergency Response Team and the site's overall response capability
- Run training, simulation exercises and coaching to lift emergency preparedness across site
- Provide emergency care and support response activities when needed
- Maintain emergency systems and equipment so the site is always ready
- Audit and improve emergency management processes to meet site and legal requirements
- Contribute to wider health and safety systems and site initiatives
About You
- Emergency response experience, ideally in mining or heavy industry
- Certificate III in Mines Rescue and Occupational First Aid
- Training and assessment capability, or a strong interest in building it
- Solid knowledge of emergency response and safety systems
- A calm leader who makes sound decisions under pressure and builds capability in teams
- Good systems skills and a practical, hands-on approach
