Electrical Trade Assistant, Reticulation | Olympic Dam | 7/7 FIFO/DIDO

About the Role

BHP is looking for an Electrical Trade Assistant to join the reticulation B Crew at Olympic Dam, about 560 km north of Adelaide in South Australia. The role works a 7/7 rotating day and night roster, fly-in fly-out from Adelaide, drive-in drive-out from regional areas where that applies, or living locally in Roxby Downs. Key Responsibilities

• Assist with planned, breakdown and corrective maintenance on the mine's electrical reticulation network
• Follow site standards and safety controls on every task
• Update work requests and maintenance records
• Report progress to shift supervisors
• Support root cause investigations and suggest improvements
• Keep work areas clean and tidy

About You

• Experience as a trade assistant, in maintenance support or similar hands-on work, ideally in mining or heavy industry
• A good understanding of HSEC and safe work practices
• Current Australian driver's licence
• Working at Heights or ITC tickets are an advantage
• Transferable skills from construction, utilities, defence, agriculture and similar fields are welcome
• Able to pass pre-employment police, medical, drug and alcohol, and right to work checks
