Drill Fitter | McPhee Creek near Nullagine | 2/1 FIFO
MACAAbout the Role
MACA is hiring a Drill Fitter for the maintenance team at its new McPhee Creek iron ore project, about 30 km north of Nullagine in the north east Pilbara of Western Australia. The role is on a 2/1 FIFO roster. The three-year project covers load and haul of up to 10 million tonnes a year, with the ore trucked to Roy Hill for processing. Full-time and casual rates are available.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain and repair the project's production drill fleet
- Diagnose and troubleshoot faults across a range of drills and mining machinery
- Carry out servicing and breakdown work in an open pit environment
- Work safely and independently as part of the site maintenance team
- Communicate clearly with supervisors, operators and other trades
About You
- An Australian recognised trade certificate
- Open pit mining experience
- Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills across different fleets
- Experience on Epiroc Pit Viper 231, D65 or MD6250 drills is desirable
- HR driver's licence preferred
- Good communication skills, self motivation and a can-do attitude to work and safety
